Our reviews cover the information you WANT, without all of the vague catch-phrases and easily misconstrued jargon that gets bandied about in forums.

If you’re looking for pedal reviews done by professional, gigging, TOURING guitarists, covering every aspect each pedal has to offer, then step right this way and let us show you sonic details of these guitar effect pedals that have been heretofore unknown to the inter-webs………

Effect Pedal Reviews

These will go through all of the basics for each effect pedal, including which of your favorite guitarists use it, a quick synopsis of its operation, and a written impression of how WE felt about the sound.  In the pursuit of finding the perfect sound, whatever that may be for each of us, we don’t pull ANY punches.  But we also like to give each pedal a fair shake, to find the silver lining in each and every guitar pedal.

Effect Pedal Demos

These are videos we’ve made, with professionally recorded audio that HAS NOT been tampered with.  After it gets recorded through our interface, it hasn’t been touched up, eq’d, defiled by an audio engineer, nothing.  Zip.  Nada.  Straight from our microphone to your ear.  In our videos, we don’t just plug a tube screamer into an overdriven Bogner and say “here is the sound of the TS808”.  Negative.  We will be hooking up to any number of amps, from Fender and VOX cleans to Mesa/Boogie, Bogner, and everything in between.  You will hear how each guitar pedal responds to the amp its going into.  In a similar fashion, we will be using a couple of different guitars, so you can hear how different pickups and industry standard axes interact with the effects.

Tone-Shaping

This section will cover everything you need to know about shaping your personal sound.  From the order you stack your effects to the way your sound interacts with the other instruments in a band, how your sound is different in your room versus on a stage, the difference between the way your amp sounds to you, and the way it sounds after it’s been mic’d up and is running through a PA.
